  • La vidéo évoque une ligne de métro improbable, reliant Paris à Hong Kong. Cette ligne est longue de 10 000 kilomètres et ponctuée de seulement deux arrêts, un au début, un à la fin. Elle s'étend comme une ville-tube, un corridor unique et souterrain qui n'offre ni correspondance, ni sortie, entre les deux métropoles. Le regard porté sur cette ville fictionnelle souligne l'aspect mécanique et automatique des mouvements de passagers. La blancheur de la céramique, la noirceur du caoutchouc et la brillance de l'inox se mêlent pour déboucher sur une série de portraits de passagers aux visages sur-éclairés, semblant sortir tous droit d'une nouvelle Metropolis. 
  • "Metro" evokes an improbable metroline stretched between Paris and Hong Kong. The line is 10 000 kilometre-long and has only two stops, one at the beginning, one at the end. It unfolds as a tube city, a single corridor remaining underground and offering no possible transfer or exit between the two metropolises. The video offers an overview of this fictional city by focussing on the mechanical movement of passengers through corridors and coaches. The blend of black rubber, white ceramic tiles, metal gates and series of over-lit faces give the video the feeling of a twenties expressionist movie. The entire film is made of one second-video loops, each composed of 5 still frames taken with a digital camera using continuous shooting. The effect is that of a stroboscopic sequence advancing incrementally by means of repetition.
