  • Zebra park est un concept de parking artistique, conçu en collaboration avec la fondation du Bauhaus, et deux artistes suisses. Le concept consiste à plier le sol à la manière d’un origami pour offrir au parking des surfaces additionnelles utilisables pour des activités sociales et culturelles. Un pliage basique de trois angles permet de reconfigurer la surface de stationnement tout en observant strictement la géométrie du site. Les 80 places de stationnement suivent la géométrie de lignes zébrées, perceptibles du point de vue des piétons comme une série de lignes zigzagantes. Les angles du parking pliés permettent d’offrir des espaces appropriables par les passants. Ils invitent l’automobiliste, une fois son véhicule garé, à prolonger son arrêt pour profiter des différents événements qui lui sont offerts. Le projet tente ainsi de réconcilier piétons et automobilistes, souvent opposés en termes d’usage, alors qu’il s’agit souvent des mêmes personnes utilisant un transport différent. Le sol du parking est réalisé à partir d’un assemblage de plaques en béton blanc préfabriquées. Les lignes zébrées apparaissent grâce aux joints creux séparant les plaques. Cette marqueterie de béton emprunte son dessin aux parquets en point de hongrie, typique des salles de bal. Elle invite à considérer le parking comme un espace domestique, où les gens peuvent vivre, jouer, se rencontrer et travailler.
  • Zebra park is a concept for an artistic parking lot, conceived in association with the Bauhaus foundation, and two Swiss artists. The concept consists in folding the ground in the style of an origami to offer the parking lot additional surfaces for social and cultural activities. A basic folding of three angles allows to re-configure the surface of car park while strictly observing the geometry of the site. The 80 parking places follow the geometry of zebra lines, that may be perceived by the pedestrians as a series of zigzag lines. The folded angles of the parking lot offer appropriables spaces to the passers-by. They invite the motorist, once his vehicle parked, to extend his stop to enjoy various events offered to him. The project so tries to reconcile pedestrians and motorists, often opposed in terms of use, while it is often the matter of a same persons using a different transport. The ground of the parking lot is made of white concrete, built from precast geometrical plates. The zebra lines appear through "hollow joints"  which separate the plates. This concrete marquetry borrows the pattern of the famous "point de hongrie", typically used for wooden floors. It invites to consider the parking lot as a domestic space, where people can live, play, meet and work.
