Urban Blocks – Ivry, Hambourg, Sevran

This research investigates the potential of large-scale real estate housing projects, typical of today’s urban planning, to define urban space, as they usually take the form of large autistic buildings independent from each other. The idea here is to assume the scale of the blocks, while fragmenting their content into different architectural bodies, each possessing a specific housing typology and architecture. The urban blocks take different forms according to their context, in Ivry-sur-Seine, Hambourg, and Sevran. The buildings conceived for the sites of Ivry and Sevran, in the Grand Paris region, are currently under study.
