Residential building – Les Groues, Nanterre, France

This housing project is distinctive in that it is located on a small triangular plot at the entrance to a developing neighborhood in Nanterre, just a few steps from the La Défense business district. To address this prominent corner position and the need to engage with an evolving urban context, the building unfolds as three aggregated volumes, each oriented in a different direction. One volume is punctuated with north-facing windows, another features winter gardens along the new street, and a third is emphasized by continuous balconies facing the adjacent alley. The entire structure is painted in a metallic color that reflects light differently depending on its orientation.
